Hide AdMalmo won 4-3 on aggregate when they faced Celtic three years ago, turning the tie around after losing the first leg in Glasgow 3-2.
The Swedes saw off Drita and Cluj in the first two rounds while Videton got past Dudelange and Ludogorets Razgrad to reach the play-off stage.
Should the Hoops lose to AEK, they will drop into the Europa League draw, where they - or AEK Athens - will play the winners of Spartaks Jurmala (Latvia) v FK Suduva (Lithuania).
The champions, who have already beaten Alashkert and Rosenborg, will reach the play-off round if they see off AEK in the tie which begins with Wednesday’s first leg at Celtic Park.
The first leg is scheduled to be played on August 21/22 with the return leg on August 28/29.
